The Run Belt
- Both arms free, your natural stride back
- Pull goes to your hips, not your shoulder
- Shock-absorbing bungee + 2 traffic handles
- 3 zip pockets + built-in poop bag dispenser
Description
Run together. Hands free.
Remember why you started running with your dog? The open road, the rhythm, two of you moving as one. The Run Belt gives you that back. No more arm yanked at every squirrel, no more awkward stride, no more juggling phone, keys and poop bags. Just you, your dog, and the run.
Why runners switch
- Both hands free. The lead clips to the belt, so your arms swing naturally and your phone stays in your pocket.
- Pull goes into your hips, not your shoulder. The belt sits around your waist, so sudden lunges are taken by your core and legs.
- Shock-absorbing bungee lead. The stretch section softens every tug, for you and for your dog.
- Two padded traffic handles. Grab the lead close to your dog at crossings, in crowds or when another dog passes.
- Three zip pockets. Room for your phone, keys, treats and bags, held close to your body.
- Built-in waste bag dispenser. Pull a bag straight out of the belt, no digging.
- D-rings on both sides. Clip the lead left or right, whichever side your dog runs on.
- Reflective strips and stitching. Be seen on dark mornings and late evenings.
- Quick-release buckle. On and off in seconds, with an adjustable strap.
Size & fit
One size fits most. The belt adjusts to fit waists from 24.4 to 50 in (62–127 cm).
- Belt pack: 4.3 in (11 cm) tall. Pockets 4.5 in, 7.9 in and 4.7 in wide (11.5 / 20 / 12 cm).
- Lead: 57 in (145 cm) relaxed, stretching to 79 in (200 cm). 1 in (2.5 cm) wide.

She used to drag me down every street. With the belt the pull goes into my hips and I keep my stride. We did 8K on day one.
Roots, mud, a deer jumping out. The bungee took every jerk. Phone and keys stayed zipped in the pockets.
I thought it was only for big dogs. My beagle loves it and I love not holding a leash and a coffee at once.
I had shoulder issues from my lab yanking. Three weeks in and nothing hurts after a run.
At traffic lights I just grab the short handle near her collar. Full control, still hands free the rest of the run.
Love it. Took me one run to find the right spot for the belt, a bit lower on my hips works best for me. Otherwise perfect.
My partner kept stealing mine, so we got the 2-pack. Black for me, grey for her. Now we run with both dogs together.
My Jack Russell pulls like crazy. The bungee is the difference, no more choking on the collar.
The middle pocket takes my phone with the case on, keys and treats go in the side ones. Nothing bounces.
Steep switchbacks and he still can't pull me off balance. The bungee keeps it smooth on the downhills.
Was worried it would be too big. Strap pulled snug, no slipping at all. My corgi keeps up just fine.
The reflective strips light up in car headlights. I run before work in the dark and feel way more visible.
Run with it for 30 days.
Take it on your real routes, in your real weather, with your real dog. If it doesn't change how you run together, send it back for a full refund. Shipping is always free, and every belt comes with a 2-year warranty.
Will it work if my dog pulls a lot?
Yes, that's who it's made for. The pull goes into your hips instead of your arm, the bungee softens every lunge, and the two padded handles give you close control when you need it.
Will it fit me?
One size fits most. The strap adjusts from 24.4 to 50 in (62–127 cm) around your waist, with a quick-release buckle.
How long is the lead?
57 in (145 cm) relaxed, stretching to about 79 in (200 cm) when your dog pulls. It's 1 in (2.5 cm) wide with reflective stitching.
Can my dog run on either side?
Yes. The belt has a metal D-ring on each side, so you can clip the lead left or right.
What fits in the pockets?
There are three zip pockets, 4.5 in, 7.9 in and 4.7 in wide. Room for your phone, keys, treats and poop bags, plus a built-in bag dispenser.
Does it work for small dogs?
Yes. The bungee is gentle enough for small breeds and strong enough for big pullers.
Do you have bundle deals?
Yes. Buy 2 Run Belts and save 15% on both, or 3 and save 20% on all three. Mix black and grey; the discount is applied automatically in your cart.
How fast is shipping, and will I pay customs fees?
Shipping is free on every order and all US import duties and customs fees are included, so you never pay anything on delivery. Orders ship within 1–3 business days and usually arrive 7–12 business days later, with tracking.
What if it's not for me?
You have 30 days after delivery to try it on real runs. If it doesn't change how you run together, email support@steady-leash.com and send it back for a full refund.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, a 2-year limited warranty against defects. If a buckle, zipper, D-ring, hook or seam fails from normal use, we'll replace it.
Any safety tips?
Use it with a well-fitted harness, check the buckle and hook before every run, keep one dog per belt, and grab a traffic handle near roads and crossings. It's made for walking and running, not for biking, skating or skijoring.
