1. Who we are

steady-leash.com ("steadyleash", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Envoise, a company registered in the Netherlands, Burgemeester Brokxlaan 6A, 5041 SB Tilburg, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KVK) no. 93917023, VAT no. NL005052374B76. Email: support@steady-leash.com.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of our website and to every order you place with us. By using our website or placing an order you agree to these Terms, our Shipping Policy, our Return & Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or place an order.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state, to place an order. Our products are sold to consumers for personal use and we currently only ship to addresses in the United States.

4. Products and descriptions

We do our best to describe and show our products accurately, including dimensions, colors and features. Small differences may occur, for example in color due to screen settings or minor manufacturing tolerances. Lifestyle images are for illustration purposes. Product measurements are approximate.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars (USD). Prices include free standard shipping and all US import duties and customs fees (Delivered Duty Paid). Applicable US state and local sales tax, where we are required to collect it, is calculated and shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If a product was priced incorrectly, we will contact you and give you the choice to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

6. Discounts and bundles

Bundle and promotional discounts apply automatically or with a code as described on our website, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be combined unless stated otherwise. We may end or change promotions at any time; this does not affect orders already placed.

7. Orders and contract

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example in the case of suspected fraud, errors, stock shortages or delivery outside our shipping area. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund you in full.

8. Shipping, risk and ownership

Shipping is handled as described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates. Risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered to your shipping address; ownership passes on delivery provided payment has been received in full.

9. Returns, refunds and warranty

You may return your order within 30 days of delivery under our 30-day money-back guarantee, and our products carry a 2-year limited warranty, as described in our Return & Refund Policy. These rights are in addition to any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

10. Safe use of the product

The Run Belt is designed for walking and running with a dog that is wearing a properly fitted harness or collar. For your safety and your dog's safety, you agree to:

  • read and follow any instructions supplied with the product;
  • check the belt, buckle, D-rings, snap hook, stitching and bungee for wear or damage before every use, and stop using the product if any part is damaged;
  • make sure the buckle is fully closed and the snap hook is securely attached to the D-ring and your dog's harness or collar before every use;
  • use the product only on paths, trails and sidewalks where it is safe and legal to walk or run with a dog, and stay aware of traffic, cyclists, other people and animals;
  • use a traffic handle to keep your dog close near roads, crossings and crowds;
  • not use the product with a dog you cannot physically control, with an untrained or aggressive dog, or with more than one dog per belt;
  • not use the product for skijoring, canicross racing, biking, scootering, skateboarding, rollerblading, towing, climbing or any activity other than walking and running;
  • never tie or attach the product to a fixed object or vehicle and never leave your dog unattended while attached;
  • keep the product away from children and do not let children use it without adult supervision.

A hands-free leash is not a substitute for training. Running with a dog involves inherent risks, including falls and pulling injuries. Consult your doctor and veterinarian if you or your dog have health conditions that could affect running. You use the product at your own risk, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of our website or products, including injuries or damage resulting from misuse of the product, failure to follow the safety instructions, or the behavior of your dog. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or under mandatory product liability or consumer protection laws.

12. Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated in these Terms and our Return & Refund Policy, and to the extent permitted by law, our website and products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this exclusion may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Envoise and its directors, employees and partners from claims by third parties arising from your misuse of our products or your breach of these Terms.

14. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, videos, logos, product designs and the steadyleash name, belongs to Envoise or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

15. Reviews and content you submit

If you submit reviews, photos, videos or other content, you confirm that it is your own, truthful and does not infringe anyone's rights, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display and share it in connection with our business. We may remove content at our discretion. We do not edit reviews to change their meaning and do not publish fake reviews.

16. Website use

You agree not to misuse our website, including attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, using bots or scrapers, or placing fraudulent orders. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

17. Privacy

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, customs or carrier disruptions, or government actions.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection laws of the state in which you live. Before starting any legal proceedings, please contact us at support@steady-leash.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally; we aim to respond within 14 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands (District Court of Zeeland-West-Brabant), unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring it before a court where you live.

20. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order applies to that order.

21. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the policies referred to above, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your order.
